This Limited Edition helmet is a stylized version of a Greek Corinthian style helmet. It features the extended cheek and prominent nose guards that you will find on most greek helmets, but with an artistic twist to it. This style comes from Frank Miller and his graphic novel 300, which is the basis for the movie "300." Miller penned the artwork for the series and said that he wanted the soldiers and their uniforms to flow. He added that initially he drew the Spartans wearing full Hoplite armor, but wasn't happy with how bulky and inhuman they looked. So, he stripped them down to a cape, loin cloth, shield, helmet, and greaves. This officially licensed helmet is sculpted from a type of fiberglass which was painstakingly painted and weathered to mimic battered bronze. This is a display piece, and is not meant for wearing to war, or anywhere else for that matter. It does make a great combo with the licensed Spartan Shield and Spartan Sword.
Weight: 2 1/4 lbs.
